At CloudAdopt, we prioritize user privacy and data sovereignty. This policy explains our minimal data collection practices and your total control over your information.
1. Minimal Data Collection
We only collect the following registration details necessary for account management:
- Name
- Email Address
- Account Registration credentials
CloudAdopt does not collect device identifiers, location data, or any other background information.
2. User-Controlled Data (Functionality)
Total Control: All data explicitly uploaded by the user to CloudAdopt remains under the user's complete control. Users can create, encrypt, and delete their uploaded data at any time within the application.
3. No Third-Party Sharing
We do not share, sell, or rent any user data (registration details or uploaded content) to third parties. All data is used strictly for the functionality of the CloudAdopt service.
4. Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit between your device and our servers using industry-standard protocols. Additionally, users have the option to apply their own encryption to uploaded files.
5. Data Deletion & Account Closure
CloudAdopt provides straightforward methods to permanently delete your account and data, ensuring you retain total control over your information.
Deletion Methods:
- In-App: Log in, go to Settings, and select 'Delete My Account'.
- Web Portal (No Login Required): If you cannot log in, visit our Account Deletion Portal. To prevent unauthorized requests and spam, you must provide both your Email Address and your unique User ID. A verification code will be sent to the registered email only if the User ID matches our records.
Security & Finality:
- Immediate Revocation: Confirmation of deletion immediately invalidates Access/Refresh tokens.
- 24-Hour Purge: All profile data, encrypted files, and subscriptions are permanently erased from our servers within 24 hours.
Note: Once the 24-hour purge is complete, data recovery is impossible.
